When I read a guide on building an Etsy shop it almost always mentions the importance of a shop profile. Unlike a brick and mortar store, you don’t have an opportunity to meet and introduce yourself to your customer. The shop’s profile is that introduction. It tells the story of you and your shop. It’s how buyer’s get to know you. Before this week I had a very empty profile. It mentioned nothing more than my location and policies. It wasn’t very personal at all.
This is what it looks like now.
My shop’s profile tells who I am, what I’m selling and a little bit about my process of buying items. It does all of this in my voice and with my humor. Mission accomplished. I also changed the look of my shop. I bought the banner and avatar from JojoMiMi, a design shop on Etsy. Eventually, I want to have my own one of a kind logo, but for now, this is just right.
